This watercolor was a bit of an experiment -- I sketched out the primary lines of the arm and face
with a wax crayon, then used watercolor washes and ink to create the final effect. This painting
was also one of a very few which have been purchased and now reside in other people's homes. Oddly
enough, At the Grave was almost purchased by a high school friend of mine, but it would have
involved breaking up the triptych so I declined the offer.
